The Economy

The economy of the territories is based on a free, transparent, competitive but above all independent economic system.
There are several sectors that can potentially be exploited in the area but, currently, a large part of the economy is based on tourism, on activities to defend and safeguard the environment (flora and fauna), and on the development of services. The Principality of Antarcticland, despite being rich in natural resources (minerals, hydrocarbons, gases, etc.), the primary objective of the Government is to protect and safeguard the natural habitat.
The economic guidelines are planned by the Government of the Principality of West Antarctic within multi-year and annual plans. The Government of the Principality of West Antarctic, as already stated, considers investment in environmental protection and the development of the tourism sector to be a priority, also through the active participation of private entities. Precisely for this reason, the Minister of Finance, in agreement with the Minister of the Environment and the Minister of Tourism, under the supervision of the Governor, has decided to promote the brand of the Principality of Antarcticland in such a way that the important tourist resource can also contribute significantly to the economic growth of the State.
The Government also promotes the collaboration of the private, public and non-profit sectors, essential for our reality, in order to establish investment plans that can provide, first and foremost, benefits to citizens.
All activities carried out in the territory of the Principality of Antarcticland must in any case respect the protection and safeguarding of the environment.
Our territory is a place full of economic opportunities also favored by a light and fair tax system.
The tax policy of the Principality of Antarcticland Government is inspired by principles of development, simplification, and economic liberalism.
There is no direct taxation on individuals and companies but rather indirect taxation on consumption, the State's revenues derive from the consumption of citizens and companies operating in the territory or using the services of the Principality of Antarcticland in the world.
Foreign investments are therefore well received and can be freely repatriated thanks to the favorable tax system.
A large part of the income of the Principality of West Antarctic derives from donations from companies, institutions and favorable ones. private individuals, other financial contributions, as well as revenues such as concessions of areas for research and study, the sale of water, stamped values, gadgets, books, studies, services to citizens and of course from the revenues deriving from the nascent and flourishing tourist activity.
To encourage trade and commercial activities, the Chamber of Commerce of the Principality of West Antarctic, which will allow the development of business and relations between citizens and companies of the world.
The currency used by the Principality of West Antarctic Ticland in a fixed exchange rate regime with the Euro (1 AUSTRAL = 1 Euro). However, other major foreign currencies (US Dollar, British Pound, Japanese Yen, Russian Ruble, etc.) are also accepted and exchanged in the territory.
In the short term, the establishment of the Central Bank of the Principality of West Antarctic is planned, which will be responsible for regulating the quantity of money in circulation, setting official interest rates, and issuing coins and banknotes in use in the territory of the State.
In the monetary field, one of the primary objectives of the financial authorities is to maintain an efficient level of consumption accompanied by a low inflation rate.
At the organizational level, the economic system is regulated and controlled by the Ministry of Finance.
Or Finance. The Secretary of State for Finance, H.E. is a member of the Grand Council of the Knights and is responsible for economic and financial activities, including the tax administration of the State of Antarcticland.
