The government of the Principality, formerly Antarcticland, is the oldest territorial dominion in Antarctica. It includes lands, islands, seas, glaciers, and airspace.

Independence Act of 2012: Executed and irrevocable by the Supreme Council of the Government of West Antarctic, establishing the independence of the Thurston Peninsula, the King Peninsula, and the Canisteo Peninsula.

The Principality of Thurston, the Principality of the King Peninsula, and the Principality of West Antarctic have united to form the United Antarctic States, incorporated with full sovereignty in 2021.
