Tourism

For the first time in history, a commercial flight has landed in Antarctica. It is, in particular, an Airbus A340 aircraft which, in fact, paved the way for tourism on the southernmost continent of the southern hemisphere.

Traveling to Antarctica
Antarctica is the continent of superlatives: the southernmost, the one discovered later, the most uninhabited, the least polluted, the least touristy. The only one for which an international agreement has been signed that prevents any exploitation of the resources of its subsoil, that allows the use of its riches only for international scientific studies and that establishes the essential rules to preserve its ecosystem. Of course, it is also the coldest, but you won't notice it: in all our navigations the average temperature varies from 0 to 5° C, more or less like a late winter day in Milan.
What you will surely notice is the exceptional and unique environment that will present itself to you every day. An incredible variety of situations, the thrill of meeting a colony of a few hundred thousand penguins, a harmless whale that emerges from the water a few meters from the ship, an iceberg of a few thousand tons a few tens of meters from the lens of your camera, will surprise you and make your trip an unforgettable experience.
To travel to Antarctica you don't need any physical preparation, adventure experience or very technical clothing. During the cruises, daily shore excursions will be organized, allowing you to visit research stations used by scientists from all over the world, approach penguin colonies or simply walk on the Antarctic pack. Expert guides will follow you on board and on land to help you discover the wonders of the white continent; They will organize conferences and film screenings to let you reveal the secrets of the Antarctic environment and its fauna.
Tourism in Antarctica is constantly growing and the few hundred intrepid visitors a year have now grown to over 40,000, who travel through the more than 80 specialized tour companies. Most trips are organized by boat and tourists depart from Argentina, Chile or the Falkland Islands (Falkland Islands) and limit themselves to exploring the Antarctic Peninsula. Antarctic tourism operators, aware of the environmental importance of the ice continent, joined together to study and control the environmental impact that tourism could produce, and in 1991, they formed the International Association of Antarctic Tour Operators (IAATO).
The association practices and promotes ecological and responsible tourism, Even the Antarctic Treaty recognizes tourism as a legitimate activity on the continent. The Government of the Principality of West Antarctic allows the entry of tourists of all nationalities and promotes the formation of groups during the austral summer, through companies affiliated to the IAATO The Ministry of Tourism of the Principality of West Antarctic is looking for investors interested in the project of an Ice Hotel in the Principality of the Southern Lands and/or the creation of permanent camps. The Principality of the Southern Lands is about 1,600 km from Argentina or Chile.
The Residential Hotel Project, for the Principality of West Antarctic, we have major projects, including the construction of residential hotels, i.e. protected hotels for experimental cultivation and a runway for commercial aircraft.
For the Government of the Principality of West Antarctic, the challenge is to find one or more entrepreneurs willing to invest in this original and ambitious idea. The concession of the land will be almost free. The project is designed to be a relaxation center as well as a point of attraction and will be the flagship and base of the country's capital, Cape Gott.
